Play

Play

Swim, jump in, or paddle out by kayak or SUP on the Ouchi-yama River running right beside us — the clear stream is the playground itself. Bring a rod and you have everything from the Miyagawa mountain streams to the sea at Minami-Ise within reach.

Eat

Eat

Lunch under dappled sunlight, dinner beneath the stars. Gather around charcoal at the BBQ, pull something fresh from the pizza oven. Bring local produce or seafood from Minami-Ise and every meal outdoors becomes a feast.

Walk

Walk

The Kumano Kodo Ise Route passes right by the lodge — the path that links Ise with the three Kumano shrines, walked by pilgrims of old. Arrive on foot, and set off again the next morning. A night spent at an inn along the way.

CONCEPT

Touch the clear stream, walk the ancient path.

As a lodge for Kumano pilgrims,

into a moment found only here.

Ichi is a small inn beside the Ouchi-yama River and the Kumano Kodo Ise Route. A base for solo and duo travelers, fishing, and river play — offering time to breathe with nature.

Facilities

Cabins and tent sites along the Kumano Kodo. On your own, as a pair, or with family — Ichi is a campground made for small numbers.

Cabins

Cabins

Cabins with power and bedding already in place, ready to sleep in. No tent to pitch — the moment you arrive, the room is yours. The cabin with a loft sleeps two, or three at a push. Sharing a small space for a night is not a bad thing at all.

Lounge

Lounge

A shared lounge where you can be alone or spend time with others. The road you walked, the road ahead. Open a book, or simply sit and let the time pass — it's up to you.

Restrooms

Restrooms

Separate men's and women's restrooms with warm-water bidet seats, kept clean so they are pleasant to use at any hour.

Showers

Showers

Two shower rooms are available, so you can wash off the day at the end of your time outdoors.

Tent sites

Tent sites

Wood-deck tent sites where you fall asleep to the sound of the stream. No dependence on ground conditions — the deck stays dry even after rain, and you can make a small place of your own on it. Pitch a freestanding tent; no pegs required.

Open terrace & BBQ

Open terrace & BBQ

A roofed open terrace and BBQ area. Gather local ingredients around the charcoal and the evening after a day in the river turns lively on its own. Time around the fire, with good company or with family.

Access

Deep in the mountains beside the Kumano Kodo and clear streams.
